    FAQ

    Collapsible content

How to Check If Your AGT-2309 Is Functional:

    1. Cigarette Smoke Test:Place the ventilation holes of the product close to cigarette smoke and close enough to avoid gas diffusion.

    2. Sealed Container Test:- Burn paper or material completely in a sealed container to create a low-oxygen environment.- Place the ventilation holes of the product close to the container immediately after burning to detect CO.

Can the AGT-2309 measure temperature and humidity?

The AGT-2309 only detects carbon monoxide. If you need temperature and humidity monitoring as well, consider the PLUS or PRO versions of our CO detectors.

    What is a DDS sensor?

    A DDS sensor,

typically refers to a high-precision gas sensor developed by the British company DDS (Digital Detection Systems). These sensors are known for their rapid response times, high sensitivity, and long-term stability, making them widely used in professional-grade carbon monoxide detectors and industrial safety equipment.

DDS sensors are often chosen for their accuracy and reliability, particularly in detecting trace levels of harmful gases like carbon monoxide.

Why can't carbon monoxide be detected in a closed room?

When there is no significant source of combustion indoors, even in a closed room, carbon monoxide will not be generated. The gases exhaled by humans contain carbon dioxide (CO2), which is a different gas from carbon monoxide (CO).

Why do I smell a carbon monoxide leak, but the  AGT-2309 doesn’t detect anything?

The smell you notice is unlikely to originate from carbon monoxide (CO), as CO is colorless and odorless. The odor may be caused by another gas, such as a combustible gas. We recommend using a combustible gas detector to identify the source.
