    FAQ

    Collapsible content

    The reading seems too high?

Retest after stabilizing the device. Movement may affect the first reading.

    No reading after restart?

Restarting resets the 6-hour measurement. The device will begin a new test. Historical data is in the DATA menu.

How long should I test for radon?

For initial screening, we recommend at least 48 hours. However, for the most accurate results that match EPA guidelines, long-term monitoring (3-12 months) is ideal since radon levels fluctuate daily. Our detector provides continuous monitoring so you can track changes over time.

Where should I place the detector?

Place it in the lowest lived-in level of your home (like a basement if used regularly) or where your family spends the most time (bedroom/living room). Avoid kitchens, bathrooms, and drafty areas. See our manual for EPA-approved placement tips.

How do I read the results? What's considered high?

The display shows both current and long-term average levels. The EPA recommends taking action if levels reach 4 pCi/L or higher (the WHO threshold is even lower at 2.7 pCi/L). We include a color-coded guide to help interpret your results.

    My levels are high—what now?

Don't panic! First, verify with a longer test (3+ months). If levels remain elevated, contact an EPA-certified radon mitigation professional (we can help you locate one). Most homes can be fixed with a mitigation system ($800-$2,500 on average).

How is this better than test kits or pro testing?

Unlike mail-in kits (which only show 2-7 day snapshots) or expensive pro tests ($150-$300 per test), our detector offers:• 24/7 monitoring (track daily/seasonal changes)• No lab fees or waiting (see real-time data)• Cost-effective (unlimited tests vs per disposable kit)

Can I test during real estate transactions?

Absolutely. Many buyers use our detector for 48-hour quick checks (per EPA short-term testing protocols), then continue monitoring after moving in.
